Leading the transformation with correct values, Geely Holding's 2025 strategy shows its confidence in surviving the cycle

At the beginning of 2025, Geely Holding Group, which achieved total sales of 3.32 million vehicles last year, took the lead.
On January 5, the "Taizhou Declaration" analysis meeting and Geely Holding's Asian Winter Ice and Snow Experience Tour were held in Harbin.
Geely Holding hereby releases its 2030 Vision and announces the Group’s strategic goals for the next three years: By 2027, vehicle sales are planned to exceed 5 million units, becoming a leader in electrification, intelligent transformation and high-quality development, and gradually forming differentiated green and intelligent transportation ecological competitiveness.
Out of long-term confidence in the new stage of strategic transformation, Geely's passenger car division has set its sales target for 2025 at 2.71 million vehicles, an increase of approximately 25% over total sales in 2024.

Setting the direction: Release the "133" strategic "navigation map "
In 2024, the automotive industry will continue to change and market competition will intensify. Geely Holding Group expects to achieve total sales of approximately 3.32 million vehicles for the whole year, a year-on-year increase of 21%, of which new energy vehicle sales are expected to exceed 1.48 million, a year-on-year increase of approximately 52%, and new energy penetration is expected to reach 45%.
Facing the new global economic situation and the new industry competition pattern, Li Shufu, Chairman of Geely Holding, clearly opposes the vicious competition of involution and requires adherence to core values. Do not engage in vicious development like the Great Leap Forward, do not pursue short-term sales targets, but look to the long term, adhere to long-termism, and provide high-quality smart boutique cars for every user.
In September last year, Geely Holding released the "Taizhou Declaration", which will focus on the core automotive business, layout the technological ecosystem, enhance competitiveness, seek progress in stability, and promote the early realization of the corporate mission of "making the world full of Geely" through five major initiatives of "strategic focus, strategic integration, strategic synergy, strategic stability, and strategic talent".
Focusing on the implementation of the Taizhou Declaration, Geely Holding has released the Group's 2030 Vision: Leading a green and intelligent transportation ecosystem. Geely Holding is committed to using innovative green and intelligent technologies to provide users with excellent products and flexible energy services that can be powered by oil, electricity, or alcohol, promote "safe, reliable, inclusive and equal" smart travel and transportation solutions, and lead a transportation ecosystem that is "green, low-carbon, intelligently shared, connected by passengers and businesses, and integrated with heaven and earth."
To achieve the 2030 vision, Geely Holding Group announced the "One Three Three" strategic thinking guidelines, which follow a general outline: the Taizhou Declaration; focus on three major transformations: organizational and cultural transformation, competitiveness transformation, and management model transformation; and strengthen three major sectors: vehicle business, core components, and ecological business. The "One Three Three" strategy will serve as Geely Holding's strategic navigation chart and provide key support for Geely's electric and intelligent transformation.
Li Donghui said that Geely must realize the development pattern of "passenger-commerce interconnection"; realize the transformation from product manufacturing competitiveness to ecological service competitiveness, from scale cost advantages to green intelligent technology advantages, and from independent operation of each brand to deep global collaboration.
Promoting synergy: How “two horizontal and seven vertical” can change the market landscape
"Focusing on the main automotive business" is the core thinking among the five strategic pillars of the Taizhou Declaration.
In 2024, Geely's passenger car segment will achieve annual sales of 2.17 million vehicles, a record high, an increase of about 32% year-on-year. Among them, the penetration rate of new energy vehicles has exceeded 50% for five consecutive months, and the total sales of new energy vehicles for the whole year exceeded 880,000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 92%.
At present, Geely's passenger car segment has built a complete three-dimensional product matrix and created four major brand ecosystems: Geely, Geely Galaxy, Lynk & Co, and Zeekr.
In order to achieve the three-year growth target, Geely's passenger car segment will form a "two horizontal" layout of two major automotive business entities, Geely Auto Group and Zeekr Technology Group.
Among them, Geely Auto Group integrated Geely, Geely Galaxy, Radar, and Yizhen, targeting the mass mainstream market and accelerating the transformation to new energy; Zeekr Technology Group integrated Lynk & Co and Zeekr to form a world-leading high-end luxury new energy vehicle group.
Geely's passenger car sales target for 2025 is 2.71 million units. Among them, Geely Auto Group aims to sell 2 million units, Geely Galaxy challenges annual sales of 1 million units, and continues to explore new growth points in overseas markets, striving to achieve an overseas market growth of more than 15.6% in 2025; Zeekr Technology Group aims to sell 710,000 units, and will become a world-leading high-end luxury new energy vehicle group with annual production and sales of millions of units in the next two years. In 2025, Geely's passenger car new energy sales target is 1.5 million units.
In terms of technical collaboration, Geely's passenger car division will deepen collaboration in seven major areas: vehicle mechanical architecture, electronic and electrical architecture, intelligent driving, intelligent cockpit, electric drive system, power battery and super electric hybrid.
“Two horizontals and seven verticals” are the core actions of Geely’s passenger car segment to focus on its core automobile business and win the transformation of the global automobile industry.
By deepening resource integration, coordinating vehicle model planning, technical routes, and optimizing industrial chain layout, we will continuously reduce costs and increase efficiency, and enhance the company's overall competitive advantage.
An Conghui said that Geely's passenger car division will make greater contributions to leading the global new energy transformation and intelligent breakthroughs, and building the global reputation and long-term pattern of Chinese brands.
Assisting Asian Winter Sports: Ensuring travel and spreading the culture of ice and snow sports
On February 7 this year, the 9th Asian Winter Games will be grandly opened in Harbin.
Geely Holding Group has launched the Asian Winter Games strategy of "Dream of Ice and Snow, Geely Together" to help create a "green, smart and humanistic" Asian Winter Games.
Yang Xueliang, senior vice president of Geely Holding Group, introduced that Geely has fully utilized its technical advantages in pure electric, intelligent electric hybrid, alcohol-hydrogen electric and other fields, and delivered 1,250 intelligent high-quality vehicles to the organizing committee, providing safe, reliable, clean and low-carbon travel guarantees in multiple scenarios such as torch relay, traffic security, and concierge services. Among them, 350 are alcohol-hydrogen electric vehicles, which will provide safe, green and efficient solutions for vehicles used in ultra-low temperature environments of the Asian Winter Games.
In terms of intelligent travel security, Geely will use the travel constellation operated by its subsidiary Spacetime Aerospace to ensure the precise dispatch and safe operation of vehicles for the Asian Winter Games. Geely Star Smart Computing Center will enable computing power, conduct all-weather monitoring of the vehicle's new energy system, and light up the "Intelligent Asian Winter Games" with integrated space-ground technology.
At the same time, Geely responded to the call of "motivating 300 million people to participate in ice and snow sports" and organically integrated "automotive culture" with "ice and snow culture". During the event, the Galaxy Ice and Snow Park built by Geely Galaxy on the Songhua River, which combines competition, experience and fun, was opened, and the Geely Galaxy L6 EM-i and Geely Galaxy L7 EM-i new energy models also made their debut here.
