SAIC Volkswagen aims to achieve sales of 1.2 million vehicles in 2024, ushering in the era of joint venture 2.0

At the end of the year and the beginning of the next year, SAIC Volkswagen’s full-year sales results were released.
In 2024, SAIC Volkswagen's annual cumulative sales reached 1.2 million vehicles, and the strategies of "oil-electric advancement" and "oil-electric intelligence" have shown results.
Among them, new energy vehicle models continued to increase in volume, with sales exceeding 143,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 12%, leading the joint venture pure electric camp. Focusing on the intelligence of fuel vehicles, with the launch of Tiguan L Pro and Passat Pro, SAIC Volkswagen further consolidated its leading position in the fuel vehicle market. SAIC Audi's cumulative sales in 2024 reached 43,220 units, and achieved a 70% increase in new car deliveries.

Multiple models are "scoring higher"
In 2024, SAIC Volkswagen will develop both oil and electricity, demonstrating its outstanding strength. In the field of fuel vehicles, policies such as lifetime warranty for powertrain, value-preserving repurchase/renewal, etc., will help users realize "quality realization", helping SAIC Volkswagen's Volkswagen brand fuel vehicle market share reach 8%.
Star products Tiguan L Pro and Passat Pro have been upgraded with intelligent iterations, achieving "accelerated" sales. Passat family sales exceeded 32,000 units in December, and the annual sales exceeded 250,000 units, ranking first in the mid-to-high-end sedan market; Tiguan family sales hit a new high in December, exceeding 26,000 units, becoming the sales champion in the joint venture SUV market.
In addition, the new Tuyue breaks the tradition and adopts a "one-price" model starting from 79,900 yuan, which really benefits users and helps the family's sales exceed 18,000 units in December, and successfully ends 2024 as a new benchmark for compact SUVs.
As the evergreen "national family car", the Lavida family has maintained a steady growth in monthly sales. In December, its monthly sales exceeded 39,000 units, leading the A-class fuel sedan market.
The powerful performance of many star models helped SAIC Volkswagen's Volkswagen brand achieve cumulative sales of over 1.14 million units throughout the year, retaining the title of the top-selling single brand under a joint venture.
While consolidating its market advantage in fuel vehicles, SAIC Volkswagen, represented by the ID. family, continues to iterate and update, launching a new round of offensive in the mainstream new energy market. In 2024, SAIC Volkswagen's new energy sales exceeded 143,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 12%. Since the launch of the smart model in July, the sales of the ID. family have been rising steadily, helping the cumulative sales of the whole year to exceed 130,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 23.8%. The "big single product" ID.3 has accumulated sales of more than 200,000 units since its launch, and it is truly the "110,000+ smart pure electric top brand".
SAIC Audi's new life
SAIC Audi delivered a total of 43,220 new vehicles in 2024, a year-on-year increase of 70%.
As the first flagship model of SAIC Audi, the A7L has accumulated sales of 31,188 units in the whole year, with a 106% increase in delivery, becoming the core force driving the brand's sales growth. Adhering to the brand concept of "user first", SAIC Audi is fully committed to promoting channel construction. At present, the SAIC Audi dealer network layout has exceeded 220, and the number of outlets has increased by 50% in the past year, providing users with more convenient and high-quality travel services, making luxury enjoyment within reach.
SAIC Audi has made frequent moves in 2024. In May, SAIC Group and Audi signed a cooperation agreement, and the joint development of the Advanced Digitized Platform was officially launched. The two parties will jointly develop a number of new luxury smart electric vehicles for SAIC Audi. After Audi launched its new brand AUDI and unveiled the Audi E concept car in November, in December, Audi announced that the exclusive production base of its new brand AUDI would be located in Anting, once again demonstrating to the Chinese market its determination to transform towards electrification and intelligence, and accelerating its in-depth development into the electric, intelligent and networked track.
Heavy new cars coming one after another
2024 is the 40th anniversary of SAIC Volkswagen. On December 10, 2024, the 40th anniversary celebration of SAIC Volkswagen was held in Anting, Shanghai.

SAIC Audi will also release two blockbuster new products. The A5L Sportback, which inherits the "most beautiful Audi" styling and is equipped with the country's leading intelligent driving technology, and the AUDI brand's first B-class model will be launched one after another. In 2026, SAIC Volkswagen's product spectrum will continue to expand, and a variety of new energy models including new extended-range models, plug-in hybrid models, and pure electric models will be launched intensively.
