BYD Ocean Network launched the first model of the new "Sea Lion" IP.
On May 10, BYD Hiace 07EV was launched on the market with an official guide price of 189,800 to 239,800 yuan.
Sea Lion 07EV is also the first model built on the e-platform 3.0 Evo. The new platform integrates five latest technology clusters: CTB vehicle safety architecture, twelve-in-one intelligent electric drive, intelligent wide-temperature range high-efficiency heat pump, full-domain intelligent fast charging, and intelligent motion control.
The Haisheng 07EV is positioned as a mid-size urban SUV and can basically be understood as a brother model of BYD Song L.
Its interior design is simple, with "suspension, lightness, and sense of speed" as its design concept, creating a sense of natural elegance.
The new car has a body size of 4,830mm×1,925mm×1,620mm and a wheelbase of 2,930mm. There are nearly 20 different storage spaces in the car. In addition, there are also large-area panoramic skylights, electric sunshades, 128-color ambient lights, and HiFi-level custom Dynaudio speakers with 12 speakers.
In terms of smart cockpit, the Sea Lion 07EV is fully equipped with the advanced version of the smart cockpit - DiLink 100. The AR-HUD head-up display with a screen projection area of 50 inches supports full-scene intelligent voice control with four-tone zone recognition.
The DiPilot 100, the advanced intelligent driving assistance system of God's Eye, which was applied for the first time, can realize follow-up navigation and complete assisted driving tasks from the starting point to the end point, such as automatic on- and off-ramps, active obstacle avoidance, etc.
As the first model built on the e-platform 3.0 Evo, the Sea Lion 07EV is equipped with four major technologies: intelligent up-current fast charging, full-scene intelligent pulse self-heating, intelligent terminal fast charging, and intelligent boost fast charging. It makes full use of existing public charging resources and realizes an efficient travel mode that is not picky about charging piles or environments and can be charged quickly in the northern winter. The charging time for 10%-80% SOC is as fast as 25 minutes, and the terminal charging time is shortened from 30 minutes to 18 minutes.
Although the Hiace 07EV is positioned as an urban SUV, since it adopts a coupe SUV shape, its handling also matches its appearance. The new car adopts the Yunnian-C intelligent damping body control system and iTAC intelligent torque control system, combined with the front double wishbone suspension, to enhance its sporty properties.
In summary, the e-platform 3.0Evo, 23000rpm motor, 800V high-voltage platform, 12-in-1 intelligent electric drive, 1200V silicon carbide electronic control and up-current fast charging/terminal fast charging technology adopted by this new car have brought the technical intensity to a new height. The Sea Lion 07EV is aimed at Model Y. Whether it can replace its best-selling model will be a major highlight of this year's electric vehicle market.
