At the 2024 Future Automotive Pioneer Conference held recently, Lei Jun, chairman of Xiaomi Group, revealed that Xiaomi Auto locked in 88,000 orders in the first month, exceeding expectations. The first month of Xiaomi SU7 delivery, which was April this year, reached 7,058 units, and 8,630 units were delivered in May. Lei Jun also said that starting from June, the Xiaomi Auto factory will run double shifts to ensure that more than 10,000 units are delivered in June. In addition, it is necessary to ensure that 100,000 units are delivered throughout the year, and sprint to the goal of delivering 120,000 units.
According to Sina Technology, a service provider said that because of the launch of the new car, the order volume is sufficient, and now a large number of general workers are being recruited, and the salary will only increase and not decrease. The specific benefits are basic salary + performance + meal allowance + night allowance + overtime pay for more than 8 hours, 1.5 times the basic salary on weekdays, double on Saturdays and Sundays, and 3 times on statutory holidays. The comprehensive monthly salary is around 8,000 yuan, and the highest can reach tens of thousands of yuan. In addition, welfare policies such as 13 salaries at the end of the year, five insurances after regularization, and high temperature subsidies are also offered, and even 500-800 yuan of salary advances can be made every week.
However, due to the high pressure of production and delivery, workers in Xiaomi's automobile factory also need to work longer hours, working 10-11 hours a day in two shifts, working six days a week and resting one day. "It's easy to join the company, and you don't need to take a physical examination. Accommodation can be arranged for those who come for interviews on the same day, and there is a canteen for meals. If you join the company now and work until the end of the year, the annual bonus will start at 10,000 yuan, and you can expect to get 10,000 to 30,000 yuan." said the person.
Because of the urgent need to recruit workers, Xiaomi's auto factory has a relatively loose recruitment policy and does not set any requirements for academic qualifications or specific experience. Jobs are arranged in the assembly workshop, welding workshop, painting workshop, body workshop, battery workshop, fully automated workshop, etc. In order to meet the demand for personnel, some service providers even recruit daily workers with a daily wage of 275-300 yuan a day.
Sina Technology saw on the Xiaomi Auto App that the current production capacity of Xiaomi SU7 is still very tight. The SU7 and SU7 Pro are expected to be delivered in 28-31 weeks after the order is locked, and the SU7 Max is expected to be delivered in 33-36 weeks after the order is locked. It will take up to 8 months, which means that the car can be picked up in early next year.
Xiaomi Auto also recently announced that starting from June 5, the hesitation period for locking orders will be shortened from 7 days to 3 days in order to speed up the pace of locking orders and production.
