On October 30, Geely Auto Group announced the launch of its next-generation global super hybrid—Thunder God EM-i.
According to reports, the Thunder God EM-i is a cutting-edge, energy-efficient super hybrid developed by Geely, utilizing its high-performance hybrid technology system, and integrating global power and AI technologies. It is tailored for mainstream market users and provides a unique hybrid experience characterized by "five new generations": exceptional energy efficiency, seamless electric experience, redundant safety, AI hybrid capabilities, and quality hybrid performance.
Thanks to Geely's independently developed next-generation "Wind Dragon Tornado" ultra-efficient combustion system, the dedicated engine for the Thunder God EM-i boasts a thermal efficiency of 46.5%. Additionally, Geely has equipped it with a highly efficient intelligent thermal management system, accelerating warm-up time by 40% and reducing fuel consumption by 3% at equivalent power output.

Moreover, the Thunder God EM-i upgrades the power of the P3 motor to 160 kW, combined with a dedicated ShenDun plug-in hybrid battery that optimizes voltage across various conditions, allowing the vehicle to accelerate without performance degradation, providing a consistent driving experience whether the battery is full or low.
Media testing has confirmed that vehicles equipped with the Thunder God EM-i can achieve an impressive range of 2390.5 km, with an average fuel consumption of just 2.62 liters per 100 km.
The first model featuring the Thunder God EM-i hybrid system, the Geely Galaxy Starship 7, also recorded a fuel consumption of around 3 liters per 100 km in testing. Even in low battery conditions, it maintained a high speed of 155 km/h on a circuit for two continuous hours without any performance loss.
So far, the Thunder God EM-i has undergone rigorous testing across all scenarios, with over 1,000 powertrain system tests totaling 400,000 hours and durability tests exceeding 40 million kilometers.
With the launch of the Thunder God EM-i, the spectrum of the Thunder God EM hybrid series has further expanded, now including the energy-efficient Thunder God EM-P and the exceptionally energy-saving long-range Thunder God EM-i, offering users a more diverse range of hybrid options.
