I came across this book by chance at Tsutaya Books in Daikanyama while on vacation in Tokyo in October.
The friends who were traveling with me were attracted by the Countach model next to it, and they all said "Wow!" at the same time. The funny thing is that the friends didn't realize that they had inadvertently said the name of the car correctly. The name Countach comes from the Piedmontese language, which means "Wow" in spoken language. Fifty years ago, Countach redefined the dream car and amazed everyone who saw it.
In fact, the naming of all the models produced by Lamborghini so far follows a tradition. Almost all the names are related to bullfighting. Countach is a complete exception. Lamborghini named its first super sports car after Miura, the most courageous bull breed in the bullfighting world. Miura is the curse of all bullfighters, and many bullfighters died under their horns. It is said that when the bull's head was inserted into the red cape, Miura was the only bull that did not close its eyes.
Even the Lamborghini logo is a cow.
All this stems from the obsession of its founder, Ferruccio Lamborghini, with bulls. He himself is a real Taurus man. Even after being acquired by Volkswagen in 1998, Lamborghini still did not give up this naming tradition. The first pure electric sports car of Lamborghini, Lanzador, which was postponed for mass production, was named after a bull that won the Best Bull Award at the exhibition.
All of these facts are from the Lamborghini Book, which was overshadowed by the Countach. I was the only one present who was upset about this book. I received it a month ago. Because I misjudged its size, I didn't know until I got it that it was actually a book classified as a "coffee table book". Wikipedia defines a coffee table book as "oversized; hardcover; displayed on a table; you don't usually read these books from beginning to end, you may just browse them intermittently; suitable for easy reading so the content is usually not too profound; mostly beautiful pictures".
A coffee table book, in short, is just a display.
In fact, I should have realized this when I placed the order, because the price of this "Lamborghini Book" is close to seven hundred. Even if I bought it at a 20% discount, it would still be a sum that would hurt for a long time.
If I had to ask for a reason, it was for work.
I am a loyal fan of "Clarkson Farm". When Clarkson first appeared in the first episode of the first season driving a Lamborghini tractor, I was surprised that Lamborghini still produces tractors? This super sports car brand, which I think is so arrogant, should only sell sports cars. However, I have to say that the Lamborghini tractor as a farm tool is too gorgeous, which actually adds a lot of show effects.
Clarkson had successfully piqued my interest in Lamborghini. To fully understand it, I had to buy something. The Lamborghini Book is one of many publications about Lamborghini, and it is also the most easily available. Unfortunately, in the end, it is not a very valuable book. In addition to being large, expensive and heavy, I recently discovered another disadvantage of it: it cannot be recycled as a second-hand book.

Currently, this coffee table book with nowhere to go is being used to prop up my Apple computer. Considering the price of the book, it is too luxurious to do so.
In short, not recommended.
