On November 18th, the Ford Sharp family's first new energy vehicle—the Ford Sharp Smart—officially opened for pre-sales. The new car offers two powertrain options: range-extended and pure electric. The range-extended version has three configurations with pre-sale prices ranging from RMB 229,800 to RMB 272,800, while the pure electric version has two configurations with pre-sale prices of RMB 259,800 and RMB 282,800 respectively. Simultaneously, the official website is offering six pre-sale benefits aimed at reducing the cost of purchasing the vehicle for users.
The Ford Smart Fun SUV, now available for pre-sale, is positioned as an "all-terrain camping SUV." Built on the "Ford Vehicle" native intelligent new energy architecture, it boasts a length of 5025mm and a wheelbase of 2950mm. The rear trunk capacity is 497L, with the pure electric version featuring a unique 160L electric front trunk, further expanding storage space. Its industry-unique through-type air duct and 32 aerodynamic optimization designs result in a drag coefficient as low as 0.348, setting a new energy efficiency benchmark among boxy vehicles.

In terms of power, the pure electric version is equipped with a 105.4 kWh battery, with a CLTC range of 650 km and a total system power of 332 kW; the range-extended version is equipped with a 43.7 kWh battery, with a pure electric range of 220 km, a combined range of 1220 km with a full tank of gas and a full charge, a combined system power of 310 kW, and a fuel consumption of 7.25 L/100 km when the battery is depleted, giving users more flexible travel options.
In terms of intelligent configuration, the new vehicle is equipped with a 5nm Qualcomm 8255 chip, a 70-inch AR-HUD, and a 15.6-inch Mini-LED central control screen. The intelligent driving system is based on dual NVIDIA Orin-X chips with a total computing power of 508 TOPS, equipped with 31 sensors (including 1 LiDAR), and has a maximum detection range of up to 200 meters. It supports high-speed NOA assisted driving, bringing users a comfortable driving experience.

For outdoor use, the Smart and Fun-filled Mazda features a class-exclusive mass-produced electric 36cm lifting roof that automatically rises in 10 seconds. The "one-click bed" function quickly transforms the vehicle into a 2-meter bed without taking up trunk space, eliminating the hassle of moving luggage. The tailgate kitchen is equipped with a factory-installed aluminum alloy table and supports an induction cooker, combined with a 6.6kW external power supply to meet outdoor power needs.
In terms of off-road performance, the new vehicle features a 30° approach angle, a 32° departure angle, a 220mm minimum ground clearance, and a 600mm wading depth. All models come standard with a four-wheel drive system, while the high-spec Long Beach extended-range version is equipped with front and rear electronically controlled mechanical differential locks. Eight all-terrain driving modes and the "Off-Road 360" monitoring system further enhance its ability to traverse complex road conditions.

Furthermore, the Ford Smart Adventure features an industry-first "Travel Route Guide" function, with 45 carefully selected routes built-in. It automatically recommends nearby routes based on real-time location and integrates 3D satellite map navigation, intuitively presenting the terrain. This system not only intelligently recommends optimal photo spots and drone launch locations, and links with the vehicle's cameras to capture images with a single click and quickly share them to social media platforms, but it also provides early warnings before curves, indicating the curve angle and suggested speed. Combining full-elevation maps and vehicle sensors, it displays key off-road data such as latitude, longitude, and pitch angle in real time, comprehensively assisting driving in complex road conditions.
In terms of safety, the Smart & Spirited's body uses 25% hot-formed steel, and the unibody floor frame has a strength of 1500MPa. All models come standard with 10 airbags, and the battery pack features a thermoelectric separation design and 6 layers of physical protection, having passed 3-ton bottom ball impact and IPX8 immersion tests.

With its core selling points of being "suitable for city driving, fun driving, and off-road driving," the Ford Smart & Fun SUV targets the diverse travel needs of modern users, bringing a new option to the highly competitive mid-size new energy SUV market.
