It was reported that during the listing period of MEGA, there were three to four car companies suspected of participating in the suppression. The Hengshui police conducted multiple inquiries, and a middle-level employee of Xiaopeng Motors is cooperating with the investigation.
In response, Xpeng Motors' official Weibo account said that it had noticed media reports about Xpeng Motors employees cooperating with the investigation. "Hebei police have recently launched an operation to crack down on online trolls, and Xpeng Motors is also actively cooperating with the police in their investigation of suppliers. The case is under investigation. Please do not believe or spread rumors, and do not affect the public security organs' investigation of the case."
The response also stated, "Xpeng Motors strongly supports the police's actions to crack down on online trolls. Since its launch, Xiaopeng X9 has also been widely attacked by online trolls, with more than 5,000 negative reports related to it. In response to such troll attacks, Xiaopeng Motors has collected evidence and reported the case to the public security authorities, which has now accepted the case. If there is any updated information, we will disclose it to the public in a timely manner." Xiaopeng Motors said.
On March 1, Ideal Auto's first pure electric MPV Ideal MEGA was launched, with a starting price of 559,800 yuan. However, after the launch of this car, it was maliciously photoshopped, with words such as "葬" (meaning funeral car) and "new energy funeral car" pasted on the car body.
On March 11, Li Xiang, CEO of Ideal Auto, said on social media, "We are already using legal means to deal with the organized illegal and criminal activities involved in the incident."
