Recently, the globally renowned tire manufacturer Continental has officially launched its first-ever tire series, ExtremeContact XC7, featuring the German-made ContiSeal self-sealing technology and ContiSilent noise-cancellation technology.
At the same time, as Continental's strategic partner and China's largest tire retail platform, Tuhu Car Maintenance will exclusively debut the ExtremeContact XC7 series across all channels, providing users with integrated online and offline automotive services.

Continental and its strategic partner Tuhu Car Maintenance
Currently, the development of new energy vehicles is gaining momentum, the automotive service industry is speeding into new territories, and tire consumption is showing a trend towards personalization and diversification. Leveraging the desensitized user data and analysis from the Tuhu platform, Tuhu Car Maintenance and Continental have delved deep into the travel needs of car owners, keenly capturing user demands for safety and quietness during travel. They have infused cutting-edge R&D capabilities to jointly launch the ExtremeContact XC7.
Due to the heavier body, more powerful engines, and faster acceleration of new energy vehicles, there are higher requirements for tire wet braking performance. The ExtremeContact XC7 utilizes Continental's seventh-generation formula technology, enhancing rubber grip. Combined with a "wave" tread pattern design, it provides the tire with outstanding wet performance, delivering unparalleled safety. In wet braking tests conducted by the China Automotive Technology and Research Center, the ExtremeContact XC7 shortened the 100-0 km/h wet braking distance by 4.3 meters compared to the vehicle's original equipment tires, which is equivalent to the length of a parking space.

The ExtremeContact XC7 features Continental's ContiSeal self-sealing technology and ContiSilent noise reduction technology
In light of Chinese consumers' increasing emphasis on travel quietness, Continental has equipped the entire ExtremeContact XC7 line with CSS broadband noise reduction technology. Not only does the ExtremeContact XC7 benefit from Continental's signature technology—the ContiSilent noise-cancellation foam, which absorbs cavity noise internally, but it also employs a dual-layer design that utilizes the ContiSeal self-sealing rubber layer to enhance the tire's inner quality, reducing vibrations caused by tire deformation. These two technologies effectively suppress noise across different frequency ranges, achieving a new realm of broadband noise reduction.
Additionally, the partitioned active noise reduction system effectively disperses noise frequencies, lowering peak noise levels and improving the tire's quietness performance. In indoor noise tests conducted by the China Automotive Technology and Research Center, the ExtremeContact XC7 recorded a noise reduction of 3.5 decibels compared to the vehicle's original equipment tires, providing a quieter cabin environment.
The ExtremeContact XC7 also comes standard with Continental's core technology—ContiSeal self-sealing technology, enhancing proactive safety. The ContiSeal self-sealing technology features a high-viscosity sealing layer that can autonomously repair punctures up to 5 millimeters in diameter, preventing 92% of potential tread puncture risks. This technology ensures self-repair capability throughout the tire's 10-year lifespan and maintains good stability in temperatures ranging from -35 to 70 degrees Celsius, fully protecting against potential safety hazards from punctures and allowing Chinese car owners to enjoy a worry-free driving experience.
It is worth mentioning that the ExtremeContact XC7 has garnered widespread attention and real-world evaluations, with numerous well-known international bloggers praising its excellence and likening it to the "Cullinan of the tire industry."
With the launch of the ExtremeContact XC7, Continental has also partnered with Tuhu Car Maintenance to introduce the "Tuhu Gold Service: Immediate Peace of Mind." It is reported that the two parties will organically combine elements such as "genuine products + warranties", exclusive customer service hotlines, joint brand activities, and product traceability to further enhance the consumer experience.
Tuhu Car Maintenance's founder and CEO, Chen Min, stated: “We are honored to continue our collaboration with Continental to explore innovative products and service models tailored to the Chinese market. The launch of the ExtremeContact XC7 not only enriches high-end tire product choices but also reflects our commitment to meeting consumers' rising expectations for higher quality in tire selection and usage.”
