As Haval's first seven-seater mid-large SUV, the Haval H9 has undergone a generational update, designed to meet the off-road needs of families and expected to spark a trend in family-oriented off-roading.
On August 25, Haval held a closing ceremony and pre-sale launch for the second-generation H9 in Kashgar, Xinjiang.
The second-generation H9 is available in three versions: the Exploration Edition, the Expansion Edition, and the Extreme Edition, with pre-sale prices of 205,900 yuan, 221,900 yuan, and 235,900 yuan respectively.
During the long-distance testing event, over 100 guest groups from across the country drove 70 second-generation Haval H9s, departing from Lhasa, Dunhuang, and Xi'an along three routes to reach the ancient city of Kashgar, covering a total distance of nearly 300,000 kilometers, passing through 25 cities and experiencing 30 different types of natural terrains.

It is reported that the second-generation H9 has undergone comprehensive upgrades in terms of comfort, making it a family-friendly off-road vehicle.
The body dimensions of the second-generation H9 are 5070*1976*1930mm, with a wheelbase of 2850mm, providing ample headroom and legroom in both the front and rear seats. Additionally, the seats feature an ergonomic design that better accommodates the body shapes of users in China. Many users have stated that the H9 offers a level of quietness that can rival luxury vehicles priced over a million.

In terms of smart technology, the second-generation H9 is equipped with an 8155 chip, enhancing the responsiveness and user-friendliness of intelligent voice interactions. Voice activation takes only 250ms, enabling various spoken commands, including visible commands and multiple interpretations.
Regarding off-road capability, the entire second-generation H9 lineup features TOD intelligent four-wheel drive, which allows for intelligent torque distribution of 0-100% between the front and rear wheels. Enhanced by the “true three-lock” system, which includes an electronically controlled differential lock for both front and rear axles and an M-lock mechanical lock, the vehicle can easily navigate situations where three wheels are slipping.
The second-generation H9 features a body-on-frame design, with a chassis constructed from a trapezoidal structure comprising two longitudinal and nine transverse beams. High-strength steel represents 99% of its material composition, while the application rate of high-strength steel in the body stands at 83%, allowing it to withstand a static roof load of 5.45 times its weight. For active safety, the vehicle is also equipped with an L2 level driving assistance system, supplemented by a 360° panoramic view and transparent chassis technology for comprehensive monitoring.
