On November 6, the Aion RT, the second global strategic model from Aion, was officially launched with prices ranging from 119,800 to 165,800 yuan, immediately kicking off large-scale deliveries.

In terms of exterior design, amidst a crowd of “squinting” headlights, the Aion RT particularly emphasizes its “big-eyed little pal” design with its striking dragon-like headlights, giving it a pair of “expressive eyes.” Additionally, the color options that resonate with young consumers are also quite impressive. Special hues like Moonlight White and Crystal Purple account for over 60% of orders.
Spaciousness is a key highlight of the Aion RT, which offers soft-touch interiors that rival compact sedans, achieving a seating position close to that of an SUV. The riding experience is upgraded and versatile, with the front seats fully reclining to transform into a spacious bed.
The Aion RT is also an entertainment hub for young people; its voice interaction system can recognize up to ten consecutive voice commands, allowing users to open the sunroof, play music, lower the temperature, and activate navigation all in one go.

A compact car priced under 200,000 yuan with these features is already enough to capture the attention of young consumers. However, Aion believes that the key factor in winning hearts with the Aion RT is its promise of “premium intelligent driving from the moment you buy.” For young buyers raised in the AI era, advanced driving capabilities have become an essential factor in their purchasing decisions. Nonetheless, the prevalence of advanced intelligent driving systems in the compact car market is still very low. While some newly launched models promise high-level intelligent driving, many of them are merely theoretical; the Aion RT aims to change this situation by providing young consumers with these premium features right off the bat.
The Aion RT employs a laser radar solution for its advanced driving features and is equipped with 27 intelligent driving hardware components, including laser radar, in conjunction with Nvidia’s Orin-X high-performance chip and fourth-generation end-to-end deep learning models. For insights on the test drive experience, you can refer to the previous report titled “Aion is set to lower the barrier for the first-time experience of high-level intelligent driving to 160,000 yuan.”

Additionally, in terms of range and charging, which are also of great concern to young people, the Aion RT breaks the typical limitations of compact cars, achieving a maximum range of 650 km. It features 3C fast charging technology, allowing for a charging time of just 18 minutes to go from 30% to 80%—about the time it takes to enjoy a cup of coffee and enough to cover a week's commuting.
Since the pre-sale began, the Aion RT has reportedly received over 30,000 orders. On the night of its price announcement, the official ordering platform experienced overwhelming demand, often referred to as being "circuit-broken." With attractive pricing coupled with numerous benefits, the Aion RT seems poised to become a hit product.
