On March 12, GAC Group announced that it agreed to allow Gu Huinan to retire due to age and no longer serve as a member of the company's executive committee. Gu Huinan himself described himself on Weibo as a "car blogger."
On June 8, 2024, Gu Huinan, general manager of GAC Aion New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd., attended the China Automotive Chongqing Forum.
Gu Huinan previously served as the director and general manager of GAC Aion New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd. After his retirement, the position of general manager of GAC Aion is currently vacant. GAC Group proposed that Li Wenying, the current party secretary and labor union chairman of GAC Aion, serve as the director of GAC Aion and be temporarily responsible for the operation, and this has been approved by the board of directors.
According to media reports, GAC Group is still undergoing a phased reform, namely the integration of professional vertical fields. Therefore, GAC Aion and GAC Trumpchi have not set up the position of general manager, and the former party secretary will concurrently perform relevant management work.
