
At 9:05 am on January 7, a 6.8-magnitude earthquake occurred in Dingri County, Shigatse City, Tibet. The sudden natural disaster posed a serious threat to the lives and property of the local people, caused heavy casualties and property losses, and touched the hearts of people across the country.
After the earthquake, many domestic automobile companies immediately extended a helping hand. So far, dozens of automobile companies including Mercedes-Benz, BYD, Chery Holdings, GAC Group, Xpeng Motors, Li Auto, Changan Automobile, Great Wall Motors, Geely Holdings, Xiaomi, NIO, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, FAW Group, and Dongfeng Motor have taken action to donate money and materials to help the people in the disaster area overcome the difficulties.
While launching the donation campaign, many car companies immediately opened emergency rescue channels for users in the disaster-stricken areas, providing services such as rescue, inspection, and repair of damaged vehicles.
It is reported that Mercedes-Benz and its dealer partners and the China Youth Development Foundation immediately activated the disaster relief emergency mechanism and purchased coal, coal stoves and other cold-resistant and supporting supplies that are most in short supply on the front line. The first batch of emergency supplies such as quilts, food and gloves were delivered to Dingri County at 7:30 am on January 8.

BYD Charity Foundation donated RMB 10 million to the disaster-stricken areas, which will be used for emergency rescue in the disaster-stricken areas of Tibet, life assistance for the affected people, support for rescue teams, and post-disaster reconstruction and other related work.









Xiaopeng Motors donated 1 million yuan to help the earthquake-stricken area in Shigatse, Tibet, which will be used for search and rescue of people in the earthquake-stricken areas, resettlement of the masses, and post-disaster reconstruction.
