On the evening of November 20th, "Qijing," a new brand jointly created by GAC Group and Huawei, made its first public appearance at the Huawei Gankun Ecosystem Conference, marking the beginning of Huawei's Gankun "Jing" series.
It is understood that this new brand, jointly created by Huawei's Gan Kun and Qijing team and invested by GAC Group, aims to become a "young, high-end, trustworthy, and intelligent flagship brand".
At the conference, Jin Yuzhi, CEO of Huawei's Intelligent Automotive Solutions BU, set the tone for the cooperation between the two parties with the theme of "Entering the Entrance Together, Embarking on a Better Future." He emphasized that they will uphold an attitude of "never compromising" to create a "hexagonal warrior" model that integrates "outstanding beauty, passionate driving, and intelligent freedom," thus breaking through the boundaries of users' imagination of intelligent vehicles.

At a previous media briefing, Jin Yuzhi explained why he wanted to create a new brand with GAC Group, saying that Qijing was created because there was still a gap in the market.
“So far, it’s been difficult for us to find a car that is stylish, safe, intelligent, and easy to handle, so we hope to create such a ‘Dream Car’ to fill the market gap,” he said. Qijing’s goal is to create a model that “has it all, has it all, and has it all.”
At the event, Qijing brand CEO Liu Jiaming introduced that Qijing plans to launch two new models in 2026. Currently, the first model, hailed as the "most beautiful shooting brake coupe in the Chinese market," has completed high-temperature environmental testing and design finalization, and is expected to officially launch and be delivered in June 2026. This model is equipped with Huawei's GanKun full-stack intelligent solution, achieving deep integration from underlying technology to user experience.
Liu Jiaming revealed that the first car was not originally intended to be a shooting brake coupe, and the two sides frequently clashed due to differences in perspective during the early stages of the collaboration. "How badly did the two technical teams argue? They slammed their fists on the table and stormed out; these kinds of things happened," said Jin Yuzhi.
“We ‘argued’ because the project team wanted to challenge the highest goals,” Liu Jiaming added. Ultimately, both sides insisted on being user-centric, turning their disagreements into motivation to uncover potential pain points. Through deep collaboration, the team achieved efficient integration in key areas such as styling engineering, intelligent interaction, chassis tuning, and safety systems, creating a synergistic effect of “1+1>2.”
The launch of Qijing also marks an upgrade of Huawei's Gankun ecosystem from technology output to brand co-creation. By integrating Huawei's intelligent technology R&D with the resource integration capabilities of the Qijing team, the two parties are attempting to open up a new path driven by both "technology + scenario" in the high-end market.
When asked whether Qijing could gain a foothold in the high-end market, Jin Yuzhi said that his confidence came from three reasons: first, it meets user needs in its definition and fills a market gap; second, he has invested a lot in it and hopes to do it well and make it a high-quality product; and third, both teams are very determined and are constantly improving.
