Wei Jianjun said that although Haval H6 is no longer the champion, he does not regret it. The decline in sales of Haval H6 is because there are a lot of disorderly and malicious competition that bring chaos to the industry, but Great Wall Motors has a bottom line and will not participate.
"I have just paid tribute to Mr. Li Shufu, the chairman of Geely. We must comply with regulations and laws, and ensure that those who work hard, are kind, do not do bad things, and abide by the rules are rewarded. Although the H6 is not the monthly sales champion, it is righteous and pure." Wei Jianjun said that the Haval H6 will become the most glorious model in Great Wall's history, and subsequent new cars will bring more surprises to everyone.
It is reported that since its launch in 2011, Haval H6 has gone through three generations of models and has been the monthly sales champion in the Chinese SUV market for consecutive years. In December 2021, Haval H6 sold 80,495 units in a single month, setting a single-month sales record in China's automobile consumer market.
However, the latest data shows that in April this year, the sales volume of Haval H6 has dropped to less than 10,000 units, and its ranking in the overall SUV market has also slipped to outside the top 20. Currently, the top spot in the Chinese SUV rankings has been taken by BYD Song PLUS.
On May 20, Great Wall Motors CGO (Chief Growth Officer) Li Ruifeng disclosed on social media that Wei Jianjun once again criticized the marketing work of Haval H6, "criticizing us for not understanding marketing at all, having no user thinking, and having no idea what users care about."
At the 2024 Beijing Auto Show, Great Wall Motors has released the new generation of Haval H6. It is understood that this is the fourth generation of Haval H6 since its birth. The new generation of Haval H6 is built on the Great Wall Lemon platform and adopts a brand-new appearance design.
