SAIC-GM successfully concluded 2024 with six consecutive increases in terminal monthly sales

Starting from July 2024, SAIC-GM's monthly terminal sales have risen for six consecutive months, reaching 73,058 units (including exports) in December, a month-on-month increase of 9.4%, setting a new monthly sales record last year. The cumulative terminal sales for the whole year reached 673,007 units (including exports), of which new energy vehicle sales totaled 104,905 units, a year-on-year increase of 56%. The new energy penetration rate ranks among the top among mainstream joint venture automakers. SAIC-GM's many star models performed well in 2024. Buick GL8 family achieved outstanding terminal sales of over 100,000 units throughout the year, ranking first in the sales list of large MPVs with its outstanding performance; Buick Envision family achieved monthly sales of over 20,000 units in December, reaching 20,643 units, of which Envision Plus became the market champion of 2.0T SUVs priced between RMB 150,000 and RMB 200,000. Buick LaCrosse 2025 Platinum Edition and Cadillac's new XT5, CT5 and other popular models also achieved remarkable results in their respective market segments; Cadillac brand's cumulative sales for the year reached nearly 130,000 units, achieving six consecutive months of growth.

SAIC-GM's "turnaround" against the trend in 2024 benefited from the "innovative combination punch" in marketing strategy. In September 2024, when the new Cadillac XT5 was launched, the brand launched the "limited-time fixed price" policy for the first time, and then Buick Envision Plus, Buick E5 and Buick LaCrosse Platinum Edition and other models also adopted this model. This policy allows consumers to skip the tedious bargaining process and focus more on the product experience, which has opened a breakthrough for sales. SAIC-GM will launch a new generation of super-convergent vehicle architecture designed specifically for the Chinese market this year. This architecture integrates SAIC-GM's latest advanced technologies such as body, chassis, powertrain and electronic and electrical architecture, and has the characteristics of "more flexible scalability, more diverse power, smarter experience, and more agile and comfortable driving". Based on this new architecture, a series of new energy vehicle models will be built to support various body forms such as sedans, SUVs, MPVs, etc., with a wheelbase covering 2800mm-3300mm, meeting various drive forms of front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive. In terms of intelligence, SAIC-GM will launch a new generation of intelligent cockpit platform. According to the plan, from 2025 to 2027, SAIC-GM plans to launch 12 new models, 100% of which are new energy models, covering different body styles of sedans, SUVs and MPVs.
