As Dongfeng's first brand with deep user participation in co-creation, the "Yijing" brand officially debuted at the Huawei Gankun Ecosystem Conference on November 20th. It is also reportedly the first new brand born from a deep collaboration between a state-owned automotive enterprise and Huawei.
The Yijing plans to build a multi-level product matrix, with its first model set to debut at the Beijing Auto Show in April 2026, and at least one new model to be launched every year thereafter.
The "Yijing" brand is the culmination of a strategic partnership between Dongfeng and Huawei, affectionately nicknamed "Emperor Donghua" by netizens. Wang Junjun, General Manager of Dongfeng Yipai Automotive Technology Co., Ltd., revealed at the event that "Yijing" is the strategic result of a single team from both companies, a multi-billion yuan investment, and three years of dedicated development. This model breaks down the traditional boundaries between automakers and technology companies, enabling collaboration across the entire chain from product definition to R&D and manufacturing. Huawei empowers "Yijing" with its complete IPD/IPMS mechanism, quality control standards, and global supply chain experience, while Dongfeng contributes its 56 years of automotive manufacturing expertise and insights into the needs of 60 million users.

The name "Yijing" was ultimately determined through user suggestions, submissions, and voting. Wang Junjun explained: "Yi" represents grand and bright beauty, while "Jing" signifies a realm and space of wisdom. The brand revolves around three core values: "Safety First," "Intelligent Leadership," and "Open Collaboration," with the mission of "building the best cars for families."
It is understood that Huawei, a leader in ICT (Information and Communication Technology), has built its "Yijing" intelligent moat with a full stack of technologies such as Gankun Intelligent Driving and HarmonyOS Cockpit; Dongfeng, on the other hand, relies on its accumulated experience in quantum architecture and Mach power, and has 56 years of experience in car manufacturing. This integration of the "national team" and the "intelligent engine" is expected to drive the industry from "single-point technology competition" to "full-scenario experience competition".
