At the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, Nissan Motor appeared with a powerful lineup. The world's first plug-in hybrid pickup truck Frontier Pro PHEV and the "most domestic" pure electric sedan N7 became the focus of the show, fully demonstrating Nissan's latest achievements in accelerating its electrification and intelligent transformation in China.
As one of the earliest foreign brands to enter the Chinese market, Nissan is moving towards a new stage of development with its strategic commitment of "in China, for China, and to the world."

Ma Zhixin, Chairman of Nissan China Management Committee and President of Dongfeng Motor Corporation, said at the exhibition that Nissan has launched a new global strategy, which will build a product portfolio based on market demand and strengthen cooperation with local partners.
In order to meet the increasingly diverse travel needs of Chinese consumers, Nissan is accelerating the introduction of a balanced product portfolio. Ma Zhixin announced that by the summer of 2027, Nissan will launch 10 new energy vehicles, of which the Nissan brand will increase from 5 to 9. This plan shows Nissan's firm confidence and investment in the Chinese market.
At this auto show, the global debut of Nissan's first plug-in hybrid pickup truck, Frontier Pro PHEV, became a highlight. This pickup truck was jointly created by the Sino-Japanese R&D team of Zhengzhou Nissan, integrating the latest plug-in hybrid technology in the world's largest new energy vehicle market, and integrating decades of pickup truck experience of Nissan Global and Zhengzhou Nissan. Frontier Pro PHEV is not only powerful, with more than 410 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque, achieving a towing capacity of 3.5 tons, but also can travel up to 135 kilometers in pure electric mode, achieving a perfect balance between performance and environmental protection. In addition, the support of advanced technologies such as L2 combined driving assistance and V2L vehicle external load function makes this pickup truck more intelligent and multifunctional, bringing users a new driving experience.
Dongfeng Nissan's most "homely" pure electric sedan N7 also made its debut on the same stage. From concept car to opening nationwide reservations, N7 took only one year, showing the results of Nissan and its partner Dongfeng Motor's "China Speed" racing against time. N7 is the first pure electric model under the new energy Tianyan architecture developed locally by Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Company, a joint venture of Nissan in China. As of April 22, N7 reservation orders have exceeded 5,000 units and will be officially launched in Guangzhou soon.
Ma Zhixin emphasized that both Frontier Pro PHEV and N7 are global models that were first launched in China. Relying on Nissan's global dealer network advantages, these models will be introduced to the world within a year to supplement and enrich Nissan's global product line. This is the best proof that Nissan is practicing the strategy of "In China, for China, and to the world".
In addition to the new car display, Nissan Formula E Gen3 EVO racing car also made a stunning appearance at the auto show. In the Formula E Shanghai race to be held at the end of May, the Nissan team will show the charm of electric racing cars.
Standing at the forefront of changes in China's automotive industry, Nissan will continue to uphold its commitment of "in China, for China, and to the world", remain determined to develop in China over the long term, and work with local partners to promote the prosperity of China's automotive industry.
